The Goldfinch is a drama novel, which was written by American author Donna Tartt. Before we go to the actual introduction of the novel, let us say something about the author.Donna Tartt was born on december 23rd 1963 in Greenwood and became famus with her novels The Secret History and The Little Friend, but her actual success came out with her bestselling work The Goldfinch, which earned her Pulitzer’s Prize for Fiction in 2014. Her previous works (The Little Friend and The Secret History) are translated in thirty languages. The Goldfinch is a story about a painting, with the same name and a young boy named Theodore Decker (nicknamed Theo). The story itself begins with rather erratic start; there is an explosion in the Metropolitan Museum of Art and, accidentally or not, the explosion happens in the same day and at the same time during Theo’s visit. The explosion ends up badly for Theo’s mother, who succumbs to wounds, but Theo survives the explosion unscated and even manages to steal the painting. After his successful escape from the Museum, Theo’s life will turn to, what will seem very often as, unfortunate and dangerous paths. The novel is filled with twists and turns, which will prevent its reader from ever get bored and even though the novel seems a bit cumbersome, its content will justify its number of pages.Click the Buy Now With One Click Button, and learn everything about The Goldfinch .
