SOMEONE STOLE ODIN'S GRANDDAUGHTER WHEN SHE WAS A BABY.
They searched Asgard, but the little goddess was never found.
Seventeen years later, a mortal girl survives something that should have killed a mortal, and Odin thinks he's found his lost granddaughter. He's not letting her go this time.
Rune is taken from her clan and brought to a world full of riches and savage beings who would kill her if they discovered she's only mortal. Rune suspects a god has orchestrated this all from behind the scenes, but she can't guess who. Desperate, she strikes a deal with a god who might be as broken and twisted as she, and quite possibly more capable of breaking her heart than anyone. All Rune must do is pretend to be his fiancé, watch as mortals fight in Asgard to the death, then escape alongside him.
But nothing in Asgard is what it seems. Rune can only hope to be long gone before it all crashes down.
A standalone fantasy for lovers of the fake engagement trope, shields and axes, or poison in teacups. This is a spice and language free fantasy.
