Derrick Grey finds himself drawn into an unusual scheme of revenge.
A woman seeks to exact revenge upon her unfaithful spouse. Having never met this woman, he is persuaded by his own curiosity and he accepts the request from mutual friends. His own motive is to talk the woman out of her intended destructive act.
She follows through, though, as planned with Derrick's needed help. The plot is executed precisely as hoped by the woman, but to a disastrous outcome. The fallout for Derrick, the only innocent in the scheme, proves to be far more damaging to Derrick than revealing the infidelity of the woman's spouse.
A first-time narrator with credibility issues does not help the reader, nor Derrick, in his hunt for healing answers.
