The vampires have taken over the world. Our cities lie in ruins and humans have been reduced to the status of farm animals, with most confined to Blood Farms where they are forced to give up their blood to their new masters. A few favoured humans work in menial jobs for the vampires. Such a human is Charles Gray who works as a humble Police Sergeant in the south of what used to be the USA.
However, a group of determined humans have created a group of freedom fighters, known as the Sons Of Man, who are determined to restore their ancient freedoms. Gray has been given the job of hunting them down-but he has a problem, for it looks as if their leader is his own brother!
But there are more powerful forces stirring and the vampires are afraid they will join with the humans.
For the Old Gods are returning.
